Uncle Goose

Tuesday, December 10th, 2013

Uncle Goose makes amazing products. Their blocks are brilliantly designed and beautifully crafted, throwbacks to craftsmanship from eras gone by. The company has teamed up with, type foundry and design studio, House Industries, and design studio and creators of Leroy C., Invisible Creature to create imagination-evoking wooden blocks, which can be appreciated by all ages. Invisible Creature’s Stack And Scare, a series of 4 stackable wooden monster block sets were just voted in kangaloop’s top ten wooden toys for the holiday season and mentioned as one of the top toys for kids this holiday in TIME.

Battle Tails Teaser – Huck Gee

Friday, May 31st, 2013

Battle Tails, a live action strategic defense game for Android and iOS that brings Huck Gee’s Gold Life character designs to life, has been funded via a Kickstarter campaign. I am a big fan of Huck Gee’s work and have been for awhile, so seeing his characters brought to life in a game is really exciting. It is always interesting to see toy designers bring characters to other platforms and mediums. Although this project has been funded, there are still stretch goals to be attained via Kickstarter. Check out the latest teaser of the game below!

And if you are feeling hungry for a taste of Huck’s work, grab his book “The Art of Huck Gee” or pick up his Post Apocalypse Dunny here.
