Audrey Pongracz – Detroit, Michigan – www.audreypongracz.com

Audrey is born and raised in Detroit, Painter / Hypochondriac / Music snob who lives off PB&J.

Tell me about yourself (What kind of artist are you and where are you based out of)

I am an oil painter, based in Detroit Michigan.

What is your favorite medium to work with?

Oil paint is defiantly my favorite medium. I learned to paint using oils, so I’m  most comfortable with it. I only recently started using Acrylics when I work on Vinyl toys. But I still only use oils for my paintings.

What are you trying to convey with your work?

I don’t think I’m trying to convey anything in particular with my work. Drawing/painting is something that has just always been a part of my life. It all just changes with my life. My Thoughts and feelings do come out in my paintings. Most of my paintings do have a story to them, and its all very therapeutic. So its pretty cool to be able to project whats in your head and perhaps have someone enjoy what they see at the same time.  And I’m very happy that some people do enjoy my work!

What would you consider a fun night out?

A fun night out for me, I guess is more a fun night IN. I’m a bit of a hermit, and I don’t like crowds to much. So I love when I can gather with my friends, at each others place, sit around and talk, listen to music and eat pizza. It makes me happy just thinking about it

Check out her work as well as all our ladies in person from 12/10 – 1/2 at
