myplasticheart proudly presents Pretend Sleep featuring Providence artist Andrea Kang. Andrea will be showing a new range of mixed media pieces exploring moments that resonate between memories, dreams, and the present. Her stoic creatures and minimalistic narratives depict nostalgia and the blurred realties of consciousness, recollection, and sleep.
Andrea Kang is a Providence based artist that graduated with her Masters from the Rhode Island School of Design. Since then, she’s participated in gallery exhibitions and dedicated her time to freelance illustration and product design work. She also started a design collective under the moniker “Harley & Boss.” On her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog and kitties, eating chocolates, and collecting crystals.
Join us for the opening reception on November 15th from 6-9PM EDT at myplasticheart in the Lower East Side NYC. Please stop in to meet and chat with Andrea Kang in person. Refreshments will be served. The exhibition runs through December 15th.
