Brooklyn-based artist, Grotesk, has thrilled us with some really amazing work (this skateboard in particular is a favorite) so when I got to see some figures he created for a recent art show in NYC, I was pretty thrilled. Always cool to see artist’s work as figures. Check ’em out!
I didn’t get a close up shot but that figure with a red dot sticker below it is a finger with a ring on it that read, “Grotesk”. Love it.
Grotesk, whose real name is Kimou Meyer, is a Swiss designer who moved to NYC back in 1999 and has been here since. He’s become highly lost in the aesthetic of Brooklyn’s streets, whether it be hand painted signs or graffiti.
